The Driver

Beyond the Helmet

My name is Nicky Gauci, and racing has been a big part of my life since I first stepped into a go kart at the age of 8.

I have 17 years of racing experience and am a multiple-time karting champion, having secured titles in 2018, 2020, and 2021, alongside experience in major international events and grand finals outside of Europe. My performances have earned recognition within the motorsport community, including multiple Malta Motorsport Federation Karting and Circuit racing Awards.

I have competed at international single-seater level, representing Malta in Formula 4 at the FIA Motorsport Games. With minimal prior testing, I placed 13th out of 21 drivers, delivering a strong performance against established champions.

In 2025, I became the first ever Maltese driver to win a funded UK racing scholarship, emerging as the sole-winner from 50 drivers through a demanding multi-stage selection process. This led to a full season in the Mini Challenge UK with title-winning Jamsport Racing, where I achieved 7 podium finishes, including a race win, two rookie class victories, and a fastest race lap - all in my first full season of closed-wheel circuit racing.
